Ten useful gifts for that golfer in your life.

Do you have a golfer in your life that you want to get a thoughtful gift for? Something that when they use it, they think of you? Perhaps not a novelty, but something useful? Well, here are 10 golf accessories sure to impress them. I carry most of these in my personal golf bag, so I can assure you that they are awesome! Links are where you can find them on Amazon.

1: Orange Whip Swing Trainer

If you get ONE thing from this list, this is the tool. Golf is all about consistency and this tool will help get that rhythm down. Out of all of the things that I have personally used to train with, the Orange Whip has helped me the most.

Orange whip makes several versions for different clubs and purposes. The Full Size is for helping with driver swing and building up some strength generally. However, for the best deal I recommend The Orange Whip Distance Duo, it comes in a two pack with The Full Size and The Lightspeed.

The Compact is for helping with your irons.

The lightspeed, as the name implies, is for developing speed.

There are some cheaper alternatives for the budget minded. I own the Balight Golf Swing Trainer Aid, and it works very well. I can fully recommend it.

2: Golf GPS

Crazy, right? 12 billion dollars worth of military satellites to tell how far you are from the pin and what obstacles there are in between. It is so worth it.

I personally carry the Garmin Approach G10. It is inexpensive, reliable, and gives me only the necessary information. I can also clip it just about anywhere. For an even better discount you can pick up a refurbished model.

If you want it in the form of a wristwatch, choose the Garmin Approach S10.

Want the best and latest? Pick up the Garmin Approach G80. Color screen with integrated Launch Monitor. Now that is an amazing device! And speaking of Launch Monitors….

3: Launch Monitor

Let me say it again; Golf is about consistency. And to be consistent you need to know the numbers. How fast is your swing speed? How far did the ball go? With a Launch Monitor you can dial in your distances and be able to better choose which club you need when out on the green.

I use the Swing Caddie SC200 Plus. It works well for the price. If you are on a budget, grab it. If you have a bit more dosh available to spend, I would get the FlightScope Mevo. Both are good options, the Mevo is a little more accurate.

You can also get the Voice Caddie Swing Caddie SC300i, which is the big brother to the SC200 Plus.

4: Compact Golf Bag

It’s a golf bag, but smaller. For when you want to carry less while walking all 18 holes. Once they try it, they will love it.

I recommend the Orlimar Pitch and Putt Lightweight Stand/Carry Golf Bag.

5: Golf Practice Net

Sometimes it is easier to walk out into the backyard and practice for an hour than it is to travel to the driving range. I know the struggle. A practice net is the perfect gift for someone who plays golf. It not only provides a safe way to practise those drives at home, but a great excuse to get outside for a while during the day.

I personally use a Callaway Net. I cannot stress enough how much quality these nets have. They are my favorite, bar none. Easy to set up, and easy to take down if you need.

6: Golf Impact Mat

A golf swing has many elements that need to come together to make the club hit the ball perfectly. A little off and you end up in the trees. This golf impact mat shows if you are swinging the club straight, as well as providing some protection for your floor (and clubs) if you are using it indoors.

7: PuttOut Pressure Putt Trainer

This is a putt trainer that will help improve getting the ball to the hole with the correct pressure. No one likes it when you have the perfect angle and roll up and then it hook right back out of the hole. Pick up the PuttOut in a variety of colors. The person that you are shopping for will thank you when they impress their friends at their putting mastery.

8: Alignment Sticks

A very basic, but extremely useful tool. Alignment Sticks have a variety of training uses and will help you get a golf swing straight. Learning how to control that aspect of aim is half the battle.

9: Golf Training Discs

Ok, they are flat golf balls. These things will get your iron and wedge swing right in the sweet spot. I recommend GoSports Golf Pure Strike Golf Training Discs.

10: Golf Bag Rain Hood/Cover

Rain and gear, not a good mix. But what type of cover? Rain Wedge. Someone looked at a stroller and decided that it was a great idea. Just flip the lid up to gain access to your clubs. Perfection in rain protection.

There you have it, 10 great gift ideas for the golfer in your life. Hopefully your holidays this year are filled with things being in stock, but things are weird right now, so maybe shop for your gifts early.
